The National Hockey League announced this afternoon that its entire preseason schedule has been cancelled. This news comes after the September 19th announcement that preseason games had been cancelled through September 30th. For the Predators, that means the following games have now been cancelled:
October 2 at St. Louis
October 5 at Washington
The NHL and NHLPA will be meeting this weekend in New York City, but notable progress is not expected to be made in the negotiations. Predators players have been practicing at A-Game Sportsplex in Cool Springs ever since the NHL locked out its players on September 15th.
The NHL’s regular season is scheduled to begin on October 11th, but it is only a matter of time before those games start getting axed as well.
