Preds 4, Stars 1: The Morning After

Here are five things from Monday night’s game…

- Roman Josi had a goal and an assist and increased his point-streak to four games (2g, 4a). With his two point night against Dallas, Josi set a career high in goals (6), assists (14) and points (20).

“I’ve just gotten luckier I guess,” Josi said. “I always try to jump up in the play and make something happen and get a lot of shots through, and lately they’ve been going in.”

- Kevin Klein and Antoine Roussel exchanged punches to the face with each other in the second period. It was an excellent fight.

“Kevin Klein doesn’t fight very often, but I’ve been here his whole career and when he does fight I can’t remember him not winning a fight,” said Predators head coach Barry Trotz.

- Carter Hutton played extremely well in net for the Predators, stopping 35 of 36 shots by the Stars, including a few saves on shots from point-blank range.

- Shea Weber scored his 13th goal of the season after getting a previous goal waved off due to a goaltender interference penalty by David Legwand. Weber’s 13 goals leads all defensemen in the NHL.

- Nick Spaling scored his eighth goal of the season, and Nashville’s first of the game, by simply driving to the net and capitalizing on a rebound chance.

3 stars of the game…
