Hello: I have actually a Gen 1 Chevy 350 in my 76 Monte. I have removed the stock heads and put top top vortec heads. I am putting a GM vortec input manifold on as well. I"m no sure just how old the vortec heads or manifold is yet I think they came from a ZZ Crate engine (?). Everyone have any type of idea what the speak specs room in foot-pounds because that the manifold? Manifold is stamped through GM12486570...I know the speak specs won"t be the exact same as mine Haynes manual states, as the heads and manifold space not stock...Thank you in advance for any type of help!!

I extremely recommend those metal Fel-Pro gaskets as well, and for the front and rear "China Wall" top top the block, use Permatex appropriate STUFF black RTV.I"ve uncovered "Right Stuff" to be far superior to also the "Ultra Black" RTV. The over combo is the ONLY method to paris on Vortec manifolds.Also, clean all the old threadlock off of the lower intake manifold bolts and also use Permatex tool Strength (#242) Blue threadlock once re-assembling. Through those steel Fel-Pro gaskets, you have the right to go up on the torque spec just a bit over the declared spec. Ns recommend going a little bit tighter, nothing crazy though.

The existing GM style (circa 2004) is improvements to all the failure points that the initial design.
